On Wednesday, November 12, 2025, our university became the meeting point of academia and banking reality. As part of Science and Technology Week, the Institute of Economics and Management FPVaI organized an expert lecture titled „Digital Banking – Faster, More Accessible, Safer.“

The event was closely linked to our international ISCEM project, which primarily focuses on innovating education with an emphasis on digitalization. This lecture created the ideal space to present partial results of the ISCEM project to students and the public. We demonstrated how the theoretical models of digital transformation, which we are developing in our new study materials, are reflected in the real economic environment.

The guest speaker was PaedDr. Edita Szabová, PhD., a Senior Remote Banker from Tatra banka. In her session, she confirmed the trends we are analyzing in the ISCEM project – the decline of physical branches and the massive rise of mobile applications. Together, we discussed not only the speed of services but also critical challenges such as cybersecurity and data protection, which form a key part of our newly developed curriculum.
